Raymond has 2 dairy farms. A nephew has cows on the home farm and his son has the cows on the 2nd farm. He grew up on a dairy farm and was married in 1989. He and his wife Verna have 8 children. As a teenager, he worked at a local metal fabrication shop for two years. Following that, he worked for a milk equipment dealer for several years. He then began a dairy herd on a milk share program and the owner of the farm provided the forages. He bought his own farm in 1998 and milked cows till 2018.
